The pine tree is an evergreen symbol of endurance and longevity; revered in Native American cultures, cherished by ancient Chinese painters and poets. Abundant in mountainous regions, tolerant of cold and high altitudes, many pine species are also “fire adapted” – surviving burnings to regenerate new growth. The oils of the pine tree are used in aromatherapy, and its resins have medicinal powers. 

The pine tree collection symbolizes the strength of sacred solitude. During the pandemic, Elena walked amongst the pine trees of Poconos, where she collected inspiration for many collections, including this one.
